Paisley

Coat - Topshop
Tunic - Topshop
Shorts - ASOS
Shoes - ASOS

You may remember my Paisley wish list post a few weeks ago and, well, lo and behold I bought the tunic. I probably should have taken these pictures a bit earlier in the day as I'm sure you can see, it's a creaser! Anyway, I quite enjoyed re-introducing a bit of black into the wardrobe for the first time in a while and I'm now actually really excited for an A/W wardrobe!

Unsummery

Top - Topshop
Kimono - H&M
Culottes - Topshop (similar)
Heels - Topshop (similar)

This is another outfit that got caught in the backlog of the last few weeks so I apologise if you saw it on my Instagram aaaages ago. This was the most unsummery outfit for a night out in July but sometimes you need a break from florals and there ain't nothing wrong with a bit of sequins in the summer. I picked up this kimono from an H&M store in Palma over the summer for a measly €7 and it's just so beautiful! I think I'll get loads of wear out of these culottes when Autumn well and truly sets in because they're a lovely thick, scuba material.

Transitioning

Top - Topshop
Shorts - c/o Missguided
Coat - ASOS
Bag - ASOS (similar)
Trainers - Nike @ ASOS

This was a classic case of not having a clue what to wear because the weather can't make its mind up. It was quite muggy but raining occasionally so naturally I went for a bit of every season - shorts, knitwear, duster coat and trainers. Bit of an odd combo but it did the job while we transition into autumn! I love these cropped knits from Topshop, the grey one is definitely next on the old wish list, and these misguided shorts are the perfect relaxed fit. Finally, the duster coat covers up a bit and makes it a bit more casual.

Blue and Bronze

Top - Topshop
Shorts - ASOS
Kimono - Primark
Shoes - Zara

I'm slowly working my way through a bit of a photo backlog and this outfit was actually from a night out with friends a couple weeks ago. I wanted to be quite dressed up without being over the top and I find culottes the perfect item for this look. This Topshop tunic is one of my favourite pieces at the moment and I just love the shape and cut of it. When I went to find the link for these Zara mules I saw that they are now sold out but they're final price in the sale was £7.99!! I envy any gal who got them for that amazing price.

Sleeveless Knit

Knitwear Vest - Zara (sale, similar)
Jeans - Topshop
Bag - Topshop (similar)
Shoes - Next

This is a typical Glasgow summer outfit - sunglasses so we can pretend its summer but knitwear cause its not that warm. This was yet another Zara sale bargain; their sales are my favourite because they always have a lot of stock and the prices get progressively cheaper as the sale goes on so you have to pounce at the right moment! I really like the sleeveless knitted jumper and think it will be a great transitional piece as autumn begins to set in but for now I decided to keep the colours light and as summery as possible.

Print and Gold

Jacket - Zara (similar)
Jumpsuit - Zara (similar)
Belt - Accessorize (old, similar)
Heels - River Island (similar)
Bag - Whistles

I picked this jumpsuit up in the Zara sale at an absolutely bargainous price and I love it. I wore it for a night out with friends and decided to go all gold with jewellery and accessories, but kept it quite simple because of the bright print. These shoes were also a total steal at £20 in the boxing day sales last year but I've actually hardly worn them.
Anyway, my Sunday night Domino's pizza order is due to arrive any minute so bye for now!

Zara A/W '14

As far as I'm concerned, I'm finished with sunny holidays for another year, I've just started my new job and it's raining so this means shopping for my A/W wardrobe. A failsafe stop for quality pieces with longevity has to be Zara and the absolute top of this wish list for me is the nude beige coat top right. With Glasgow's weather, that could definitely be worn now so that's helping me justify that purchase in advance! I also think those nude heels would 100% be a good buy, I've been looking for a decent pair of nude heels for ages but bizarrely can't find a shade of nude that I like! Yeah, I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing some of these pieces here soon.

Back to Monochrome

Top - Topshop
Trousers - ASOS
Shoes - Miista
Kimono - c/o Missguided
Necklace - Topshop (similar)
Belt - Primark (old)

Back in Glasgow and to winter clothes, apparently. Kimonos are a nice way to keep summer going even when it's freezing and rainy as it often is here and this Missguided one is not exception. It's pretty long so I used to belt to pull it up a bit but I think it would be perfect on the beach and such an elegant cover up.
These ASOS trousers are made of a light jersey material and are so comfy they feel like pyjamas. I think they'll be a really versatile piece as we head into autumn (sooner rather than later it would appear).  I also thought this would be the perfect opportunity to bring these Miista shoes out the wardrobe for the first time. They are so easy to walk in and again super comfortable. The price is quite high but I snapped them off in a 25% student discount period so it wasn't toooooo bad!

Final Holiday Look..Phew

Playsuit - Topshop
Flatforms - Topshop
Bag - Whistles

I decided to keep my final holiday look for a post of its own but my holiday actually feels like it was years ago now. Being the last night of the holiday, naturally I wore white - got to get the most out of that tan! In our final day I managed to squeeze in a white bikini with a white maxi dress during the day and then this white ensemble for night time. This Topshop playsuit sold out immediately when it first came in stock online so I diligently kept an eye out and snapped it up at the first possible opportunity.

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed my holiday posts, I'll soon be back to rainy Glasgow photos!
